About

Johannesburg-based retail development specialist supporting supermarkets, QSR brands, and food retail projects across South Africa, Africa, and Europe.

Grove Retail Design is led by Daniel Grové, a retail development consultant and project specialist with more than two decades of practical experience in supermarket, QSR, and food-related environments. Based in Johannesburg, he has supported projects across South Africa, wider Africa, and Europe.

His background sits at the intersection of store planning, design development, rollout execution, and operational reality. That includes layout development, prototype and concept rollout work, equipment and infrastructure coordination, and the practical decisions that affect how cleanly a project opens and performs.

Career experience includes roles and projects linked to SPAR South Africa, SPAR Nigeria, and SPAR Switzerland, as well as owner-led delivery work across Africa and Europe.

Today, Grove Retail Design focuses on helping clients define projects properly, reduce avoidable rework, tighten coordination, and move from concept to buildable information with greater control.
